Charles M. Miller

Charles M. Miller founded the Miller Law Offices in 1979 after serving as a General Attorney for the legacy U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service.  He is a California State Bar Certified Immigration Law Specialist and helped to establish immigration law as a field of legal specialization in California, serving the State Barís Specialty Advisory Commission both as chairman and member.

Mr. Miller was recently named one of the 2017 "Lawyers of the Year" in Immigration Law by Best Lawyers Business Edition and has also been honored by Best Lawyers in America (from 1991 through the present) and by Super Lawyers.  He has a Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Rating of AV Preeminentģ (5.0), representing the highest level of professional excellence.  Together with firm partner Terri Senesac Miller, Mr. Miller has received the Jack Wasserman Memorial Award from the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA).  His past service to AILA includes membership on its Board of Directors, Southern California Chapter Chair, chair of its Visa Office Liaison Committee, and chair of its Compliance Auditing Standards Task Force.  He has served as the co-chair of AILAís national Verification and Worksite Enforcement Liaison Committee.

Mr. Miller has written and spoken nationally on cutting-edge issues in immigration law.  He is the co-author of Immigration Law in the Workplace (Aspen Publishers), which provides guidance to U.S. companies regarding their immigration obligations and benefits for foreign employees, and of Immigration Compliance Auditing for Lawyers (American Bar Association), which analyzes the latest federal law and policy pertaining to immigration compliance auditing.  He has also served as co-director and moderator of the annual Worksite Immigration Compliance Symposium at Stanford Law School.

Terri Senesac Miller

Terri Senesac Miller formerly served the legacy U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service in Los Angeles, Boston, New York, Washington D.C., and Manila, Philippines, and was honored with the Justice Departmentís Special Achievement Award and Outstanding Performance Award.  She is a graduate of the University of Southern California Law School and a California State Bar Certified Immigration Law Specialist.

Ms. Miller has been recognized as one of the nationís outstanding corporate immigration attorneys.  She was recently named one of the 2017 "Lawyers of the Year" in Immigration Law by Best Lawyers Business Edition and has also honored by Best Lawyers in America, by Martindale-Hubbellís Bar Registry of Preeminent Lawyers, and by Super Lawyers.  Together with firm partner Charles Miller, Ms. Miller has also received the Jack Wasserman Memorial Award from the American Immigration Lawyers Association.

Samuel M. Miller

Samuel M. Miller joined the Miller Law Offices in 2015.  He previously practiced as a corporate associate at Debevoise & Plimpton in New York City and clerked for the Honorable Thomas M. Hardiman of the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.  He holds a B.A. from Harvard College, an M.Phil. in Economics from the University of Oxford, a J.D. from Harvard Law School, and a Ph.D. in Law and Economics from Vanderbilt University, where he was a University Graduate Fellow.

While at Harvard Law School, Dr. Miller was a member of the championship team in the Ames Moot Court competition, served as deputy editor-in-chief of the Harvard Civil Rights Ė Civil Liberties Law Review and as secretary of the Harvard Immigration Project, and completed an internship with the Harvard Immigration and Refugee Clinic.  He also provided research assistance to Professor W. Kip Viscusi (now co-founder and co-director of Vanderbiltís Ph.D. Program in Law and Economics).  While in college, he was a member of Harvardís varsity football team and was voted the recipient of the Henry N. Lamar Award, given for dedication and concern for oneís fellow man.

Dr. Miller is admitted to practice in California and New York.
